Alcohol in Moshi Monsters
A running gag within the franchise is that any beverage and even any body of water has nauseating effects, expressed in being unable to think clearly, drowsiness or burping. The latter is associated with fizzy drinks as well but due to the context of when and where a drink is mentioned to be consumed, such as backstage, clubs and saloons, the analogy undoubtedly is meant to be alcohol.
