- Along with the Lolliplops and Barfmallows, the Scummi Bears were/are part of Sweet Tooth 's Dastardly Delights company. When initially released, consumption of these products would make monsters' health and happiness levels decrease. This was to promote and build up the release of the fourth Super Moshi Mission, similar to how Lady Goo Goo's in-game files were altered for the firth Super Moshi Mission.
- In Moshi Monsters Egg Hunt the bears do not wear any accessories nor have their original 'tough' facial expression, thus erasing the visual pun.
- They are also one of the only food cards to appear in Moshi Monsters: Code Breakers
