Biography[]

Main article: Moshipedia

Jokebot is the Rhapsody 2's rubbish robo-comedian. Here's one of his winners: "Where do cows go at the weekend? To the moooovies!"

Masters of the Swooniverse[]

In order to open the doors, as Dr. Strangeglove has locked you and Captain Squirk in Squirk's quarters, you must reset 3 terminals. One of these terminals is Jokebot the robot. To start him up, you have to insert his Humor Chip, shaped like a bowtie. Jokebot seems to have lost his memory after being reset so you must finish his jokes to complete his stand up comedy retrieval.

Appearance[]

Jokebot is a very brightly coloured robot. His face is an 8-bit screen with limited possibility for showing emotion, although shown to blink. His voice bank is similarly monotone, making his laughter sound forced. For some reason, his design features briefs. In addition, Jokebot possesses two arrow panels (similar to the one on Squirk's helmet), one on his head (same placement as Squirk) and one on the back.

Trivia[]

  • Jokebot's SWF files show they are called "Rob the robot", lists a number of audio files that are not used in the mission.
    • The name "Rob" could have been a reference by the developers to the Nintendo accessory, R.O.B.
  • Several of those files sound like Jokebot is experiencing some sort of malfunction. This implies the files are not simply unused, but some material has been scrapped from the eventual mission.
    • The only item in Squirk's room unused is a cup of liquid. This item is found right next to the Humor Chip. It is likely there is a link to this cup and Jokebot's malfunction sound files.
